Do GTA 5 cheats work in GTA 6?

Probably not. No GTA 6 cheat codes have been released, so nobody can say for sure, but every GTA game so far has had its own set of codes. GTA 6 comes out on Thursday 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Every GTA game had its own codes

Look at the cheats players remember best. HESOYAM and AEZAKMI worked in GTA San Andreas, but not in GTA V. TURTLE and PAINKILLER worked in GTA V, but not in San Andreas. Even when two games had the same kind of cheat, the code was different. Expect the same with GTA 6.

The cheats may return, the codes probably not

What is more likely to carry over are the kinds of cheats. Many players expect GTA 6 to have cheats like those in GTA V, and we have a page ready for each of them:
