GTA 6 Invincibility Cheat
An invincibility cheat makes your character immune to bullets, crashes and falls for a while. Read how it worked in earlier GTA games and find the GTA 6 code for your platform here as soon as it is released.

What an invincibility cheat does
An invincibility cheat makes your character immune to damage for a period of time. Bullets, falls, crashes and explosions stop hurting you while it is active. Where a health refill gives you a full bar once, invincibility keeps that bar from going down at all, which makes it the strongest form of protection a GTA game has offered so far.
Because it is so powerful, it has usually come with a catch: it does not last forever. That limit keeps it from turning the whole game into a walk in the park, and it makes timing an important part of using it well.
How it worked in GTA V
In Grand Theft Auto V, PC players could open the cheat input box and type PAINKILLER. From that moment their character could not be damaged for five minutes. After those five minutes the effect ended and damage worked normally again, so players who wanted to stay protected had to enter the cheat again.
Console players used a button combination on the controller, and on every platform the same effect could be triggered by calling a number on the in-game phone. The five-minute limit made the cheat feel like a power-up rather than a permanent change to the rules.
What we know about cheats in GTA 6
As of now, there is no information about cheat codes in GTA 6. Rockstar Games has confirmed a release date of Thursday 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. What the studio has not shared is whether the game has cheats, how they are entered or what they do.
That is why the table at the top of this page says "not yet known" for every platform. We do not publish guessed codes or lists from unknown sources. As soon as Rockstar Games releases the codes, we will add the correct one for each platform.
Invincibility versus a health refill
It is easy to mix up these two types of cheat, but they solve different problems.
A health refill
A refill is instant and permanent in the sense that the health you get back stays until you lose it again. It is perfect for recovering after a fight, but it does not help you during the next one.
Invincibility
Invincibility is temporary but complete. While it is active, nothing can bring you down. It is the right choice when you know a dangerous moment is coming, such as a big shoot-out or a stunt that will probably go wrong.
In GTA V many players combined the two: invincibility for the dangerous part, and a refill afterwards to start the next part with full health and armor.
Good moments to use invincibility
Because the effect has a time limit, it pays to activate it at the right moment. Some situations where it makes the most sense:
- Experimenting with the world. Want to see how the police react to a huge pile-up or how far you can fall? Invincibility lets you find out without restarting.
- Practising a hard section. If a part of the game keeps beating you, playing it once without taking damage helps you learn the route and the enemy positions.
- Recording or taking screenshots. Players who make videos often use protection cheats so a perfect shot is not ruined by a random hit.
It is less useful for long free-roam sessions, because you will spend a lot of time re-entering the code when the timer runs out.
Things to keep in mind
Achievements and trophies
In GTA V any cheat switched off achievements and trophies for the current play session. After restarting or reloading, they worked again. It is a good idea to save before you use cheats so you can return to a clean session later.
Not for online play
GTA V cheats only worked in story mode and could not be used in GTA Online. That rule protected other players from someone who simply could not be beaten. If GTA 6 has an online mode, we expect cheats to be limited to single-player again, but this has not been confirmed.
Some things can still end your run
Even when your character cannot be hurt, a mission can still fail for other reasons, such as a partner being killed or a vehicle being destroyed. Invincibility protects you, not everything around you.

Does GTA 6 have an invincibility cheat?
That is not known yet. No GTA 6 cheat codes have been released. We will update this page as soon as Rockstar Games makes them available.
Will it last five minutes, like in GTA V?
We do not know. The five-minute limit is how the cheat worked in GTA V. GTA 6 may handle it differently, or may not include this cheat at all.
Can I use the GTA V code in GTA 6?
Do not count on it. Each GTA game has had its own set of codes, so we will only list a GTA 6 code once it has been officially released.
Which platforms will this page cover?
GTA 6 has been announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version has not been announced at the time of writing, but the switch above the table already includes PC so the page is ready if a PC release follows.
