What a skyfall cheat does
A skyfall cheat lifts your character high into the sky and lets them fall back to earth. One moment you are standing on a street corner, the next you are in free fall with the whole map spread out below you. It is a cheat built for spectacle rather than progress, and it gives you a view of the world that is hard to get any other way.
The fun lies in the descent. You can steer your fall, aim for a rooftop, a beach or the middle of a busy road, and see how the game handles the landing.
How it worked in GTA V
In Grand Theft Auto V, PC players typed SKYFALL into the cheat input box. The game then placed the character high in the air and let them free-fall. Console players used a button combination, and on every platform the cheat could also be triggered with a number on the in-game phone.
There were a few limits. The cheat could not be used during missions, and it could not be activated while the super jump cheat was switched on. Those restrictions kept it from breaking scripted story moments.
What we know about cheats in GTA 6
There is no official information about cheat codes in GTA 6 yet. Rockstar Games has confirmed that the game will be released on Thursday 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but it has not said whether it includes cheats, let alone one that drops you from the sky.
That is why the table at the top of this page shows "not yet known" for every platform. We do not publish guessed codes. As soon as Rockstar Games releases the codes, we will add the correct one here.
Why players love free falling
The best view in the game
GTA maps are huge, and from street level you only see a small part of them. Falling from high up shows you how the city, the coast and the countryside fit together. It is a quick way to get a feel for a new map.
Picking a landing spot
Steering your fall towards a specific place is a small challenge of its own. Players try to land on the tallest building, in a swimming pool or right next to a landmark.
Spectacular screenshots
A character mid-air with the skyline below makes for a striking image. Combined with slow motion, it becomes even more cinematic.
Plan your landing
Falling from a great height has an obvious risk: the ground. Without a parachute or some kind of protection, the end of the fall can be painful. In GTA V many players paired skyfall with a parachute cheat or an invincibility cheat so the trip down could end safely. Others simply aimed for deep water.
If GTA 6 offers a similar cheat, the same thinking will apply. Decide before you start whether you want a controlled landing or a dramatic crash.
Things to keep in mind
Achievements and trophies
In GTA V using any cheat switched off achievements and trophies for the rest of the play session. Restarting the game or loading your save turned them back on. It is worth saving before you experiment.
Story mode only
GTA V cheats could not be used in GTA Online. If GTA 6 has an online mode, we expect cheats to be limited to the single-player story again, but this has not been confirmed.
Not during missions
Because skyfall moves your character to a completely different spot, GTA V blocked it during missions. A GTA 6 version, if it exists, may well have similar limits.
