Do cheats disable trophies in GTA 6?
That is not known yet. No GTA 6 cheat codes have been released, and Rockstar Games has not said how cheats will affect trophies and achievements. GTA 6 comes out on Thursday 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
How it worked in GTA V
In GTA V, entering any cheat turned off trophies (PlayStation) and achievements (Xbox and PC) for the rest of that play session. The game showed a message when this happened. The block was not permanent: restarting the game or loading a save turned trophies back on.
Cheats also did not stay active after loading a save, so you could not carry a cheat into a "clean" session.
How to cheat without losing trophies
If GTA 6 works like GTA V, this is the safest way to have fun with cheats:
- Save your game before you enter a cheat.
- Do not save over your main save while cheats are on. Use a separate save slot if you want to keep your progress.
- Reload your save when you are done, so trophies are on again.
Cheats and missions
Some GTA V cheats did not work during missions at all, such as skyfall and drunk mode. Others, like invincibility, did. Whether GTA 6 has the same rules is not known.
