Who made the music for GTA 6?
The original score of Grand Theft Auto VI is made by Justice, the French electronic duo. Rockstar Games confirmed this on 15 October 2026, the day it released the GTA 6 launch trailer.
Attentive fans could have guessed it earlier: music by Justice was already part of the score of An Extended Look in August and of the official cover art reveal.
"Flower in a Hurricane"
On the same day, Justice released a new single, "Flower in a Hurricane", which plays over the launch trailer. It is a big collaboration:
- Justice, who made the track.
- SZA and Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, who sing on it. Parker also plays guitar.
- King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, who are credited as composers and lyricists.
The song is about three minutes long and is out now on streaming services as a single.
Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album
"Flower in a Hurricane" will also be on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the official soundtrack album of 34 original tracks, which comes out on 19 November 2026, the same day as the game. Other artists named for the album include Travis Scott, Cardi B, Yung Lean, PinkPantheress, Keith Richards, Rauw Alejandro and Fuerza Regida.
Our guide to the GTA 6 soundtrack album explains more about the album and what is still unknown.
Score versus radio
A score and a radio station are two different things in GTA. The score is the music written for the game itself, which plays during missions and key moments. The radio stations play songs while you drive. Justice's work is the score. Rockstar has named some of the in-game radio stations, but not the full list of songs on them.
The Daft Punk rumour
A few days after the announcement, an unconfirmed claim went around that Rockstar first approached Daft Punk. Nobody involved has confirmed it. We explain what was said in the GTA 6 Daft Punk rumour.
