What is the '95 Grotti Cheetah?
The '95 Grotti Cheetah is a two-door sports car from the fictional Italian brand Grotti, and one of only a handful of GTA 6 vehicles that Rockstar Games has officially named before launch. Rockstar describes it as Grotti's signature mid-'90s sports car and an ode to Shore Drive, finished in a minimalist, retro-futuristic livery.
The official images show a white car with a single red stripe, a red interior and pop-up headlights, the kind of wide, low wedge shape that defined supercars of that era. It is a car designed to look at home on a sunlit Vice City boulevard.
How to get the '95 Grotti Cheetah in GTA 6
The Cheetah is part of the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition, the more expensive of the two editions Rockstar sells alongside the Standard Edition. Rockstar's own product description lists the '95 Grotti Cheetah among the Ultimate Edition's exclusive vehicles, with a livery designed to punctuate later-stage action.
That last phrase is worth noting. Rockstar has said that the Ultimate Edition content is threaded through Jason and Lucia's story rather than handed over all at once. In other words, owning the Ultimate Edition does not necessarily mean the Cheetah is in your garage from the first minute. Exactly when and how it unlocks has not been explained yet.
If you buy the Standard Edition, there is no official word yet on whether a regular version of the Cheetah can be found or bought in the game world. We will update this page once that is clear.
What the official images show
Rockstar published several images of the Cheetah on the official GTA 6 website. Together they give a good impression of the car:
- Exterior: a clean white body with a single red racing stripe and raised pop-up headlights.
- Rear: close-ups of the taillights, the Grotti badge and the licence plate.
- Interior: a red cabin that contrasts with the white paint.
- Setting: the car photographed in a bright, coastal city setting that fits Rockstar's "ode to Shore Drive" description.
The Cheetah's long history in GTA
The Cheetah is one of the longest-running cars in the Grand Theft Auto series. According to the community-run GTA Wiki, it first appeared in GTA III and returned in Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories. In the 3D-era games it was usually one of the fastest cars you could find on the street.
In GTA V and GTA Online, the name came back with modern and classic variants. The Cheetah Classic, added to GTA Online in the Gunrunning update, is widely described as resembling the Ferrari Testarossa, the iconic wedge-shaped supercar of the 1980s. Several fan sources see the GTA 6 '95 Cheetah as a new take on that classic design, with changes to the proportions, rear, wheels and interior.
For long-time players, seeing a Cheetah on the streets of Vice City again is a direct link to the early years of the series.
What we do not know yet
As exciting as the official reveal is, many details are still open. Rockstar has not published:
- Performance stats such as top speed, acceleration or handling.
- Price, if the car can also be bought in-game.
- Customisation options, such as other liveries, wheels or upgrades.
- Where it is stored once you unlock it.
That is why the stats table on this page says "Unknown" for every value. We do not guess numbers. As soon as reliable figures are available, for example once the game is out and the stats can be checked in-game, we will add them here and in our vehicle database.
Why the Cheetah fits GTA 6
GTA 6 returns to Vice City, a setting that has always been linked to bright colours, sunshine and fast cars. A mid-'90s Italian-style sports car with pop-up headlights fits that image perfectly. It also echoes the period feel of other officially revealed bonus items, such as the classic '55 Vapid Stanier in the Vintage Vice City Pack, which shows that Rockstar is leaning into nostalgia with its premium extras.
Tips for when you get it
Until the game is out, these are general tips based on how sports cars have worked in earlier GTA games rather than confirmed GTA 6 mechanics:
- Keep it safe. Special cars are easy to lose in a chase. Store it somewhere secure when you are not using it.
- Use it on smooth roads. Low sports cars are at their best on highways and wide boulevards, not on rough ground.
- Pick your moments. A white car with a red stripe stands out, which is great for photos but not ideal when you want to stay unnoticed.
