Snow would also be a strange sight in GTA 6. The game is set in Leonida, a state based on Florida, where snow almost never falls. Rockstar describes it as the sunniest place in America.
Snow in GTA V
GTA V had snow in two places. The opening mission took place in the snowy town of North Yankton, far from Los Santos. And in GTA Online, Rockstar covered the map in snow during some holiday events. Neither came from a cheat.
The weather cheat
GTA V did have a weather cheat. MAKEITRAIN cycled through nine weather types, from sunshine and clouds to rain and thunderstorms. Snow was not part of the normal cycle. Read more on our change weather cheat page.
Another GTA V cheat, SNOWDAY, sounds like it brings snow, but it did not. It made every car lose grip, as if the roads were icy. See our slippery cars cheat page.
Weather in GTA 6
Rockstar has not explained the weather system in GTA 6. With a setting based on Florida, think of sun, heavy rain and maybe storms rather than snow.
