What a moon gravity cheat does
A moon gravity cheat lowers the force that pulls everything down. Jumps last longer, vehicles float after going over a bump and falling objects drift slowly to the ground. The name comes from the idea of playing as if you were on the moon, where gravity is much weaker than on Earth.
It is one of the most playful cheats in the Grand Theft Auto series. It does not help you complete missions or fight enemies; it turns the familiar physics of the game into something new and often hilarious.
How it worked in GTA V
In Grand Theft Auto V, PC players typed FLOATER into the cheat input box to switch on low gravity. The effect applied not only to the player but also to cars, so driving over a hill or ramp could send a vehicle flying much further than normal.
On consoles the cheat was entered with a button combination, and on every platform it could also be activated by dialling a number on the in-game phone.
What we know about cheats in GTA 6
There is currently no official information about cheat codes in GTA 6. Rockstar Games has confirmed that the game will be released on Thursday 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Whether it will include a gravity cheat, or any cheats at all, has not been announced.
The table at the top of this page therefore shows "not yet known". We never publish guessed codes. As soon as Rockstar Games releases the codes, we will add the correct one for every platform.
Why low gravity is so entertaining
Vehicles that fly
The most spectacular effect of low gravity is on vehicles. Ramps, hills and even small bumps become launch pads. Long, slow jumps over rooftops or across rivers are suddenly possible.
New movement on foot
Jumping on foot feels floaty and drawn out. Combined with a super jump effect, it can send your character remarkably high and far.
Unpredictable physics
Crashes, explosions and falling objects all behave differently under low gravity. Much of the fun comes from simply watching what happens.
Combining low gravity with other cheats
In GTA V many players stacked several fun cheats together. Low gravity combined with slow motion produced long, cinematic jumps. Combined with a fast car from a spawn cheat, it made for spectacular stunts. And because landing after a long flight can be rough, a health or invincibility cheat was often added to keep the fun going. If GTA 6 offers similar cheats, we will explain how they work together.
Things to keep in mind
Achievements and trophies
In GTA V any cheat turned off achievements and trophies for the current session. Restarting the game or loading a save switched them back on. Save before experimenting if you are hunting achievements.
Story mode only
GTA V cheats could not be used in GTA Online. Changing the physics of a shared world would affect every player in it, so cheats were limited to the single-player story. If GTA 6 has an online mode, we expect the same rule, but it has not been confirmed.
Not ideal for missions
Missions are built around normal physics. Driving or chasing someone under low gravity can make them much harder, so this cheat is best enjoyed in free roam.
