Who is Dre'Quan Priest?
Dre'Quan Priest is one of the eight characters Rockstar Games has officially introduced for Grand Theft Auto VI. He is an aspiring music producer in Vice City, working at Only Raw Records, the label and studio co-founded by Boobie Ike.
His story is a familiar one in the world of GTA: someone with a creative dream who takes a shortcut through crime to get there.
What Rockstar has revealed
A producer with ambitions
According to Rockstar, Dre'Quan's main goal is to make music. He works at Only Raw Records and wants to build a career as a producer.
Paying his way
To get there, Dre'Quan deals drugs. Rockstar describes it as a way to pave the road to his musical ambitions rather than his end goal.
Proud of his signing
Dre'Quan can be seen hanging out with Boobie in his clubs, making moves. He is particularly pleased with himself for signing Real Dimez, the duo of Bae-Luxe and Roxy, to the label.
His connections
- Boobie Ike: the co-founder of Only Raw Records, where Dre'Quan works, and someone he is often seen with.
- Real Dimez: the duo Dre'Quan signed to the label.
That puts Dre'Quan in the middle of Vice City's music scene as it appears in GTA 6.
The music business in GTA 6
Three of the eight officially introduced characters are part of the same music business: Boobie as the owner, Dre'Quan as the producer and Real Dimez as the artists. That suggests music and nightlife will play a real role in the game's version of Vice City. Rockstar has also announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, 34 original tracks set for release on the same day as the game.
What role could Dre'Quan play?
Rockstar has not yet revealed how Dre'Quan's story connects with Jason and Lucia. A character who combines music, nightlife and drug dealing could cross paths with the protagonists in many ways, but anything beyond the official description is speculation for now. We will update this guide with confirmed details.
A character with a double life
Dre'Quan's mix of creative ambition and street business reflects a theme that runs through much of GTA 6's cast: people who want something better and are willing to bend the rules to get it. In that sense he mirrors Jason and Lucia, who are also chasing a better life.
Where did Dre'Quan appear?
Dre'Quan was introduced with the expanded character profiles on the official GTA 6 website around the release of the second trailer in May 2025.
