GTA 6 Slow Motion Aim Cheat
Line up every shot with time slowed down. The slow motion aim cheat only kicks in while you aim. Read how it worked in GTA V and find the GTA 6 code for your platform here as soon as it is released.

What a slow motion aim cheat does
A slow motion aim cheat slows down time while you are aiming a weapon. The moment you raise your gun, the world around you moves in slow motion, giving you extra time to pick your targets and line up your shots. As soon as you stop aiming, the game returns to normal speed.
That makes it different from a general slow motion cheat, which slows everything down all the time. Slow motion aiming only kicks in when you need it, which makes it a precise tool for gunfights.
How it worked in GTA V
In Grand Theft Auto V, PC players typed DEADEYE into the cheat input box. Each time the cheat was entered, the slow motion effect while aiming became stronger, up to a third level. Entering it a fourth time switched it off again. The cheat could not be used during missions.
Console players entered a button combination, and on all platforms it could also be triggered with a number on the in-game phone.
What we know about cheats in GTA 6
There is no official information about cheat codes in GTA 6 at the moment. Rockstar Games has confirmed that the game will be released on Thursday 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but it has not said whether a slow motion aim cheat will be part of it.
The table at the top of this page shows "not yet known" for every platform. We never publish guessed codes. As soon as Rockstar Games releases them, we will add the correct code here.
Why slow motion aiming is so effective
Precision
Fast-moving targets are hard to hit. Slowing them down while you aim makes accurate shots much easier.
Handling groups of enemies
When several enemies appear at once, slow motion aiming gives you time to deal with them one by one instead of being overwhelmed.
A cinematic feel
Gunfights in slow motion look like scenes from an action film. Many players use this cheat simply because it looks great.
Slow motion aim versus general slow motion
GTA V had both a general slow motion cheat and this aiming version. They suit different situations:
- General slow motion affects everything, including driving and walking. It is great for screenshots, stunts and watching the game's physics.
- Slow motion aiming only affects the moments when you aim. Between fights the game plays at normal speed, so you do not lose time.
For combat, the aiming version is usually the more comfortable choice.
Things to keep in mind
Achievements and trophies
In GTA V any cheat switched off achievements and trophies for the current play session. Restarting the game or loading your save switched them back on.
Story mode only
GTA V cheats could not be used in GTA Online. Slowing time while aiming would be impossible to do fairly in a shared world. If GTA 6 has an online mode, we expect cheats to stay in single-player, but this has not been confirmed.
Not during missions
In GTA V this cheat was blocked during missions. A GTA 6 version, if it exists, may have similar limits.
