What a flaming bullets cheat does
A flaming bullets cheat sets things on fire. Every shot you fire ignites whatever it hits, whether that is an enemy, a car or an object. Instead of the big, instant blast of explosive ammo, flaming bullets create spreading fire that keeps doing damage after the shot has landed.
It is a different flavour of chaos. Fires can spread, cars can catch alight and a single burst of gunfire can leave a trail of flames behind it.
How it worked in GTA V
In Grand Theft Auto V, PC players typed INCENDIARY into the cheat input box. After that, enemies and objects caught fire when they were shot. On consoles the cheat was entered with a button combination, and on every platform it could also be triggered with a number on the in-game phone.
Many players saw it as the more subtle sibling of explosive ammo. It still caused plenty of destruction, but it played out over a few seconds rather than in a single bang.
What we know about cheats in GTA 6
There is no official information about cheat codes in GTA 6 at the time of writing. Rockstar Games has confirmed that the game will be released on Thursday 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Whether it will include a flaming bullets cheat has not been announced.
That is why the table at the top of this page says "not yet known". We never guess codes. As soon as Rockstar Games releases them, we will add the correct one for each platform.
Flaming bullets versus explosive ammo
GTA V offered both, and they feel quite different:
- Explosive ammo causes an immediate blast with every shot. It is loud, fast and throws things around.
- Flaming bullets start fires. The damage builds up over time and the flames can spread to nearby objects and vehicles.
If you want dramatic, instant results, explosive ammo is the stronger choice. If you prefer something that lingers and spreads, flaming bullets are more interesting.
Why players enjoy fire effects
Visual drama
Fire looks great in a modern game engine, especially at night. Flaming bullets turn an ordinary fight into a much more striking scene.
Lasting damage
Because fire keeps burning, targets continue to take damage after you have stopped shooting. That can make fights end faster.
Chain reactions
A burning car can eventually explode, which may set off other fires. Watching how one shot spreads through a street is part of the fun.
Things to keep in mind
Watch your own position
Fire can spread towards you just as easily as away from you. Standing close to something you have set alight is risky. A protection cheat can help if you want to stay in the middle of the action.
Achievements and trophies
In GTA V any cheat turned off achievements and trophies for the rest of the play session. Restarting or reloading your save switched them back on.
Story mode only
GTA V cheats could not be used in GTA Online. If GTA 6 has an online mode, we expect cheats to stay in single-player again, but that has not been confirmed.
Missions can be affected
Fire can destroy vehicles or characters that a mission needs. It is best to use this cheat in free roam.
