All GTA 6 trailers and reveals

Rockstar Games has revealed Grand Theft Auto VI step by step. Rather than flooding fans with constant updates, the studio has released a small number of big moments, each one showing more of the game. This guide gives an overview of every major reveal so far.

In short, there have been two trailers and one long gameplay presentation:

  • Trailer 1, December 2023
  • Trailer 2, 6 May 2025
  • An Extended Look, 27 August 2026

Trailer 1 (December 2023)

The first trailer was the official introduction of GTA 6. It showed Vice City and the wider state of Leonida for the first time, introduced Lucia as one of the protagonists and ended with a release window of 2025. Rockstar released it earlier than planned after a copy leaked online.

The trailer broke viewing records on YouTube and became one of the most watched game reveals ever. Our separate guide on the first trailer covers it in more detail.

Trailer 2 (May 2025)

The second trailer arrived on 6 May 2025, shortly after Rockstar announced the first delay to 2026. It gave much more attention to both protagonists, Jason and Lucia, and to their story. Rockstar said the footage was captured on PlayStation 5.

Rockstar reported that the trailer reached 475 million views across platforms within its first 24 hours. Alongside it, the official website was expanded with information about characters and locations in Leonida.

An Extended Look (August 2026)

On 27 August 2026 Rockstar went further than a trailer. Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premiered on Netflix and was published on Rockstar's YouTube channel and the GTA 6 website a few hours later. The presentation runs for around 26 minutes and was captured in-game on PlayStation 5.

It showed driving, gunfights, a police chase, conversations and moments where control switches between Jason and Lucia, as well as quieter scenes around Leonida. Our guide to the extended look goes through it in more detail.

How Rockstar reveals its games

Rockstar is known for keeping quiet for long periods and then releasing carefully prepared trailers. That approach has a few advantages: each reveal becomes a major event, and the studio keeps control over what players see and when. It also means long gaps without news, which is when rumours tend to spread.

Where to watch

All official trailers and the extended look are available on Rockstar Games' official YouTube channel and on the official GTA 6 website. Those are the safest places to watch. Re-uploads on other channels sometimes add misleading titles or edits.

A note on leaked footage

GTA 6 has been the target of leaks, including footage that was never meant to be public. We do not share or describe leaked material on this site. Everything in our guides is based on what Rockstar has officially released.

Will there be more trailers?

Rockstar has not announced further trailers. With the release set for 19 November 2026, more videos before launch would not be surprising, but nothing has been confirmed. We will add any new reveal to this overview.
