What a spawn attack helicopter cheat does

A spawn attack helicopter cheat gives you an armed helicopter on the spot. Unlike a normal helicopter, an attack helicopter carries weapons, which makes it both a way to travel and a powerful tool in a fight. It is one of the most impressive vehicles a cheat can deliver.

Helicopters are especially useful because they can take off almost anywhere. You do not need a runway, just a bit of open space above you.

How it worked in GTA V

In Grand Theft Auto V, PC players typed BUZZOFF into the cheat input box to spawn the Buzzard, a military attack helicopter equipped with rockets and a machine gun. On consoles the cheat was entered with a button combination, and on every platform it could also be triggered by dialling a number on the in-game phone.

Because it combined flight with weapons, the Buzzard was useful for exploring as well as for causing trouble.

What we know about cheats in GTA 6

At the time of writing there is no official information about cheat codes in GTA 6. Rockstar Games has confirmed that the game launches on Thursday 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but it has not shared whether it includes cheats or which aircraft will be in the game.

The table at the top of this page shows "not yet known" for every platform. We do not publish guessed codes. As soon as Rockstar Games releases them, we will add the correct one here.

Why an attack helicopter is so useful

Take off anywhere

Rooftops, parking lots and small clearings all work as landing pads. That makes a helicopter the most flexible way to travel across a large map.

Firepower from the air

Mounted weapons give you a big advantage in a fight. Enemies on the ground have a hard time fighting back.

Great for exploring

Hovering lets you stop and look around wherever you want. It is perfect for scouting the map or finding good spots for screenshots.

Tips for flying a helicopter

  • Gain height before moving. Buildings, trees and power lines are the biggest danger close to the ground.
  • Land slowly. Reduce speed and descend gently, especially on rooftops.
  • Expect a response. Using the weapons in the city will draw police attention quickly.
  • Bring a parachute. If the helicopter gets hit, a parachute gives you a safe way down.

Things to keep in mind

Achievements and trophies

In GTA V any cheat switched off achievements and trophies for the current session. Restarting or loading a save turned them back on.

Story mode only

GTA V cheats could not be used in GTA Online. An armed helicopter on demand would upset the balance of a shared world. If GTA 6 has an online mode, we expect cheats to stay in single-player again, but this has not been confirmed.

Space overhead

Spawning a helicopter in a narrow street or under a bridge can make take-off difficult. Find open sky first.
