Is GTA 6 Multiplayer?
Short answer
Not at launch, according to reports. GTA 6 is reported to launch as a single-player game, and Rockstar Games has not announced an online mode yet.
Single-player at launch
GTA 6 is reported to launch on Thursday 19 November 2026 as a single-player game. It received its age rating without the label for online interaction between players, and Rockstar Games has not announced an online mode. The story follows Jason and Lucia, and that is what you will play on launch day.
What happened with GTA V
GTA V also launched without online play. GTA Online arrived about two weeks later, on 1 October 2013, as a mode inside GTA V, and it grew into one of the most successful online games ever. Many players expect something similar for GTA 6, but Rockstar has not said when or whether an online mode will follow.
